Mar 10:32 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him,

Mar 10:33 Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles: [Son of man. Matt 16:13]

Mar 10:34 And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.

The Messiah was mocked and ridiculed. The multitude, among whom were chief priests, captains of the temple, elders, & servants, mocked The Messiah. Herod with his men of war mocked The Messiah and set him at nought. Pilate’s soldiers spitefully entreated, mocked, ridiculed, bashed, and spat upon The Messiah. Passers by mocked The Messiah. The rulers (chief priests and the scribes) mocked The Messiah. Soldiers mocked The Messiah and they offered him vinegar. One of the thieves mocked The Messiah. When Pilate heard Galilee mentioned, he asked if Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ was a Galilaean. And as soon as he was told that Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ was a Galilaean, he realized that Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ belonged to the jurisdiction of Herod, so, he sent Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ to Herod, who happened to be at Jerusalem at the time. And when Herod saw Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛, he was very happy, because he had wanted to see him for a long time, because he had heard a lot of things about him; and he was hoping to see Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ perform a miracle. Then he asked Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ a lot of questions, but Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ did not answer his questions. And the chief priests and the scribes stood before Herod and they [eutonos] accused him strenuously. And Herod with his [strateuma] army of soldiers [exoutheneo] treated Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ as if he was a worthless and contemptible person, and they [empaizo] treated him like a child, and they [periballo] threw a [lampros] gorgeous [esthes] robe around him, and they sent him back to Pilate.

*

Then Pilate’s soldiers took Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ and led him into the common hall, called Praetorium; (Pilate’s office).

And Pilate flogged him.

And the soldiers gathered together the whole band of soldiers (a mass of men), and brought them to Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛.

And they stripped him, and they put a scarlet (purple) robe on him.

And they platted a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and they put a cane in his right hand:

And they bowed their knees before him, and they worshipped him.

And they began to take him in their arms, and greet (welcome) him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! and they treated him like a child, and they jeered, and derided, and mocked him.

And they spat on him, and they repeatedly beat him with their hands.

And they took the cane and they repeatedly hit him on the head with the cane.

And when they had finished treating him like a child, and jeering him, and deriding him, and mocking him,

Then Pilate went out before the multitudes again, and he said to them, Behold, I bring him out to you, for you to know, that I find no crime in him.

Then Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ came outside, and he was wearing the crown of thorns, and the scarlet (purple) robe.

And Pilate said to them, Behold, the man!..Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ The Messiah has been judged and found not guilty by Pilate and Herod, he has been flogged..Matt 27:26 & Mk 15:15 and is now, ready to be released.

But when the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, and said crucify him, crucify him. Pilate said to them, You take him, and crucify him: because I find no crime in him.

The Jews said to Pilate, We have a law, and by our law he should die, because he made himself the Son of [G2316] God.

When Pilate heard what the chief priests and the officers said, he became more frightened;

And he went into the judgment hall again, and he said to Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛, Where did you come from? But Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ did not answer him.

Then Pilate said to him, You will not speak to me? Don’t you know that I have the power to crucify you? and the power to set you free?

Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ said to Pilate, You could have no power at all against me, except it was given to you from above: therefore he that delivered me to you has the greatest sin.

And from that time on Pilate determined..Acts 3:13 ( tried) to set Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ free: but the Jews cried out, If you set this man free, you are not Caesar’s friend: whoever makes himself a king is speaking against Caesar…Pilate wanting to release Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ The Messiah possibly thinks about the matter and decides to free Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ The Messiah by asking the people to choose between Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ The Messiah, the innocent man, and Barrabas, the murderer, and thief. Pilate’s reasoning may be telling him that the people will choose The Messiah?) Whom do you want me to release to you? Barabbas, or Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ which is called The Messiah, the King of the Jews? I have found no reason for him to be put to death! ..*Pilate made three attempts to set the Messiah free. however, the voices of the multitude and of the chief priests [katischuo..prevailed] overpowered Pilate.

When Pilate heard what the Jews said, he brought Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ [exo..forth, out, without] outside, and he sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew language, Gabbatha.

And when he was seated, his wife sent a message ??by someone?? to him, and she said, Have nothing to do with that just man: because I have suffered many things today in a dream because of him.

And it was about the sixth hour of the day of the preparing of the [pascha] passover.

Now at at that [pascha] passover feast the governer released a prisoner to the people, which ever prisoner they wanted.

Because it was customary to free a prisoner at the feast.

And at that time they had a notable prisoner called Barabbas, a thief..Jn 18:40..who was bound in prison with those who had [sustasiastes..aided..abetted] helped him cause an [stasis] uprising in the city, and who had committed murder during the uprising.

Therefore when all of the people were gathered together, and the multitude was calling out to the governer to release a prisoner to them.

Pilate said to the people, .. Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

Because he knew that the chief priests had delivered him because they were jealous of him.

But the chief priests and the elders convinced the multitude to call for Barabbas to be freed, and [apollu] Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ to be killed.

Then Pilate said to them, Which one of the two would you like me to release to you. would you like me to give you the King of the Jews?

But the chief priests [anaseio] stirred up the people, so they would ask Pilate to give Barabbas to them.

And they all cried out again, and they said, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a thief.

And Pilate answered and said to them again, Then what do you want me to do to him, whom you call the King of the Jews?

And they all cried out together to him, and they said, Take him away, Take this man away, crucify him, and give us Barrabas.

And Pilate said to the Jews, Behold your King! Shall I crucify your King? and the chief priests cried out, We have no king but Caesar. crucify him.

Then Pilate [boulomai] intending to set Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ free, said to them the *third time, Why, what evil has he done? [I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go. Lke 23:22]

And with their loud voices they put pressure on Pilate to crucify Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.

And when Pilate saw that he could not win, but that there was an uproar among the people, he took water, and he washed his hands before the multitude, and he said, I am [atthoos..guiltless, innocent] not guilty for the [haima..blood] death of this [dikaios..right, righteous, just] righteous person: see ye to it.

Then all of the people answered and said, The responsibility for his [haima..blood] death be on us, and on our children.

Mar 15:15 And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas [who for causing an uproar among the people and for murder was thrown into prison,] unto them, and delivered Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

If he is The Messiah, the King of Israel, the chosen one of [G2316] God, let him now come down off that cross, so we can see, and then we will believe him.

He put his faith in [G2316] God; let hin deliver him now, if he will have him, because he said, I am the Son of [G2316] God.

And the soldiers also [empaizo] treated Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ like a child, and coming to him and offering him vinegar.. They said, If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself. Each of the soldiers may have taunted The Messiah, with the reed containing the sponge filled with vinegar!

And one of the thieves who was [sustauroo] crucified with Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ also [blasphemeo] defamed (injured) Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ with his speech, and he said, If you are The Messiah, save yourself and us.

But the other thief rebuked him and said, Don’t you have any fear of [G2316] God, seeing that you [krima] also have been condemned to death.

And we truly righteously; because we are receiving what was the expected reward for our actions: but this man has done nothing [atopos] out of place.

And he said to Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛, Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom.

And Yehôshûa‛ Yehôshûa‛ said to him, Truly I say to you, [semeron] Today you will be with me in paradise.
